It's the second week of Genesis, our first season, so there's something real to try: a live city, open quests and a season leaderboard that is already moving. This post covers what we launched, why we picked this moment and how you can help.

What we launched#

We described DENSHIN on Product Hunt in one line: gamified Web3 quests focused on real on-chain activity. Here is what that means in practice:

A city instead of a checklist. The map has 100 quarters and most of them start sealed. Each quest stands on a quarter, and finishing it opens that part of the city on your map.

Quests verified on-chain. Swaps, deposits, liquidity positions and balances on Base, Soneium and Sonic. We read the result from the chain, so you never send a screenshot.

An on-chain Daily Check. Once a day you take a point on the map with a Denshin Sync, one small transaction to our own contract, and your streak builds up.

A season with a real pool. Genesis runs until 31 October 2026, and a $100 USDT pool is split across the top 50 places by position.

No token and no NFTs. You don't buy anything to play. Signing in is free and never a transaction.

The fastest way to see all of this is to open the city. The map and the quests are visible without a wallet.

Why Product Hunt, and why now#

Most Web3 products launch to crypto people only. We wanted feedback from people who try new products every day and aren't shy about saying what confused them. A Web3 onboarding tool has to work for exactly those people, so their first five minutes matter to us more than anything.

We also wanted to launch something you can use today, not a waitlist. Genesis opened on 10 September. The quests are live, the leaderboard is live, and on 21 September the Daily Check moved on-chain. This felt like the right moment to invite a wider audience.

How you can help#

If you have a minute today:

Try it. Open the map, pick a quest and read what it asks. You'll see in seconds whether it makes sense to you.

Leave a comment on our Product Hunt page. Tell us what confused you, what you liked and what you'd change. We read every comment and reply through the day.

Support the launch if you like what you see. It helps more people find the product.

Critical feedback is the most useful kind for us. “I didn’t get what a quarter is” teaches us more than a thumbs-up.

What happens after launch day#

Genesis continues until 31 October 2026, and the white list closes the same day. Every wallet on it becomes a Genesis citizen with a permanent badge and 100 bonus points. When the season ends, the leaderboard freezes, a snapshot decides the payouts, and the next season opens with a new city. Your rank, lifetime points, reputation score and Daily Check streak carry over.

We will keep posting updates in the Product Hunt forum, on this blog and in our channels. If you want the background first, start with what is inside the Genesis season and why we think on-chain quests are a better way into Web3.

Thank you for checking us out. See you in the city.

Why On-Chain Quests Are a Better Way Into Web3

Clicking tasks teach nothing and are easy to farm. Here is why we build on-chain quests: real actions, verified on the chain, rewarded by position, not volume.

For most people, the way into Web3 is a mess of browser tabs, half-finished guides and risks nobody labels. You're told to “try the ecosystem”, and then you're left alone with a wallet, a bridge and a swap screen. We think more guides won't fix that. Better practice will: short, bounded actions with a clear explanation, where the chain itself checks the result. That is what an on-chain quest is, and it is the reason DENSHIN exists.

The trouble with clicking tasks#

The usual Web3 task list rewards follows, likes, reposts and screenshots. Those tasks are quick to set up, and for everyone involved they are close to useless:

The player learns nothing. A follow teaches you nothing about wallets, gas, networks or what a signature means.

The project learns nothing. A thousand follows from a thousand fresh accounts look the same as a thousand real people.

The system gets farmed. A task that anyone can complete in two seconds gets completed by scripts in two milliseconds.

The result is activity that looks big on a dashboard and leaves no trace anywhere that matters.

What makes a quest “on-chain”#

An on-chain quest asks for something that happens on a blockchain: a swap, a lending deposit, a liquidity position, a balance held on a network. Verification then reads the chain, not a screenshot. In DENSHIN that means a few strict rules:

An action counts only from the block where you started the quest. You cannot reuse old history.

Every accepted transaction hash counts once, globally and forever.

The quest states up front what it checks, on which network and above which threshold.

It's slower to build than a follow button. But a quest verified this way proves that a real wallet did a real thing, and neither side has to take the other's word for it.

Why it is better for players#

The main benefit is that you learn by doing, with small amounts. On networks like Base, Soneium and Sonic a transaction costs a fraction of a cent, so trying a swap or a deposit is cheap. By the end of a season you have swapped on a DEX, deposited into a lending market and moved to a new network yourself. You've done more than read about them.

That history stays in your wallet, and in DENSHIN it adds up to a reputation score. You earn it by showing what your wallet and your accounts have really done, and it multiplies what every quest pays you. The score isn't something you can buy.

A good quest also teaches caution. Signing in should never cost gas or grant spending rights, and ours does neither. A quest should never ask you to approve a token you don't understand. Nobody legitimate will ever ask you to pay to claim a reward.

Why it is better for ecosystems#

Networks and protocols don't need more follows. They need people who actually try the product. On-chain quests send users to real contracts on real networks. The activity is verifiable, and it happens where the ecosystem lives, not on a social feed.

This matters most for newer networks. Plenty of people have never tried a second or a third chain simply because nothing gave them a reason to. In our Genesis season, 23 of the 33 quests are on-chain: 11 on Base, 8 on Soneium and 4 on Sonic. Moving a known habit to a new network is exactly the step a quest can make easy.

Fair by design, not by promise#

A quest system is only as good as its incentives. If every point turns into money, people will farm points. We built the other way around:

Points decide order, not amount. The season pool is fixed and split by leaderboard position, so farming harder can only move you up the board. It can never make the pool bigger.

Every source has a limit. A Daily Check pays at most 30 points a day. Referral income stops at a quarter of what you earned yourself.

The reward needs one real transaction made inside the season window.

Every number is public. Thresholds, formulas, caps and tiebreaks are written down in the player handbook.

Why we made it a city#

Checklists are forgettable. A map is not. In DENSHIN the city is the progress bar. Quests stand on quarters, and finishing one lifts the seal on that part of the map. You can see what you've done, what is still sealed and who else is playing around you. A new season brings a new city, which gives you a reason to come back that no checklist can.

That's the bet behind DENSHIN: on-chain quests, verified on the chain and wrapped in a place worth returning to. It's a better way into Web3 than one more list of clicks. The Genesis season is live, and the map opens without a wallet. Take a look.

On 10 September 2026 we opened Genesis, the first season of DENSHIN. It is a live Web3 quest city: a neon map that opens up as you do real things on a blockchain. You don't tick boxes on a checklist. You take a quest from a quarter of the city, do what it asks on-chain, and watch that part of the map light up. This post explains what is inside the season, how the quests work and how to start.

What DENSHIN is, in one minute#

The city is a single district of 100 quarters. At the start of the season only the 4 quarters in the centre are open. The other 96 are sealed, and every one of them is held by a quest. When you finish a quest, its seal lifts and those quarters stay open on your map for the rest of the season.

Quests earn points. Season points decide your place on the leaderboard. Lifetime points decide your rank, which never falls. Your marker walks the same map as every other player, so the city is also a live view of who is playing right now.

You can look around before you commit to anything: the map and the quests are open to guests, no wallet needed. Open the app and scroll the city.

What is inside Genesis#

Window: 10 September → 31 October 2026, 23:59:59 UTC.

Quests: 33, worth 1,800 points in task rewards. 23 of them are verified on-chain, and the other 10 cover signing in, linking accounts and inviting friends.

Team quests: 3, with teams of 3, 5 and 7 seats filled by other players. A team quest pays once the whole team has finished, and the bigger the team, the more each seat is worth.

Waves: four chapters called Arrival, Everyday, Ties and Close. All of them are open from day one, so a player who arrives in the last week can still take the most valuable quests on their first evening.

Prize pool: $100 USDT for the whole season, split across the top 50 places.

The full season rules are in the handbook: Seasons and waves.

Three networks, one city#

Genesis runs on Base, Soneium and Sonic. 11 on-chain quests are on Base, 8 on Soneium and 4 on Sonic. They cover swaps, lending deposits, liquidity positions and balances. Network fees on all three are a fraction of a cent, so a quest never costs more than it is worth.

We price repetition honestly. If you repeat in a second network a move you have already made in the first, it pays half. Full price is kept for work that is new to you.

Every quest is checked on the chain#

This is the part we care about most. We verify quests by reading blockchain data: balances, swaps and positions. You never send us a screenshot and we never take your word for it. Three rules keep verification honest:

An action counts only from the block where you pressed Start mission, so an old transaction cannot complete a new quest.

Every accepted transaction hash counts once, for everyone and forever.

Signing in is not a transaction. It costs nothing, moves nothing and grants no spending permission.

When a task will not tick, the handbook's Proof and verification page lists the usual reasons in order of likelihood.

Daily Check is on-chain now#

On 21 September the Daily Check became an on-chain action. Once per UTC day a point appears somewhere on your map. You take it with a Denshin Sync: one small transaction on Soneium, Base or Sonic, you pick which. It goes to our own contract, DenshinSync, which has the same address on all three networks. The contract holds no funds, has no owner and cannot be upgraded.

The day pays points equal to your streak, capped at 30. The streak survives the change of season. More detail is on Daily Check.

How to start#

Open app.denshin.io and look around as a guest.

Connect a wallet and sign the login message. It is free.

Take a quest from the Arrival wave. It starts with a signature and a little gas on Base.

Link X, Discord and Telegram. Your reputation score multiplies every quest payout, by up to +90%.

Join the white list before it closes on 31 October 2026. Every listed wallet gets the permanent Genesis badge and 100 bonus points.

Want the thinking behind the design? Read why we believe on-chain quests are a better way into Web3. And on 22 September we also launched DENSHIN on Product Hunt.

See you in the city.
